The Levski release is anticipated to be a dot release that is backward compatible with all EdgeX 2.x releases. The release is not anticipated to be an LTS release.

Major additions planned for this release include:

  • North to south message bus implementation (high priority)

  • CPE implementation (high priority)

  • Unit of measure implementation

  • More metrics telemetry (following beta capability provided in Kamakura)

  • EdgeX micro service authentication prototype

    • Prototyped with an OpenZiti-based solution
